2019 Update

It’s been a storming 2019 for us so far – new events, new experiences, travels and clients that have certainly been keeping us busy…

Notable highlights:  Our first venture into E-Sports took off in London with live streaming of the LDN UTD team trials, playing FIFA19. Great fun, and fabulous players – 3 hours live across multiple platforms and with feeds from multiple screens. Followed by an ePremier League event from Southampton FC with DSM and Icon Events. Highlights of the live stream here: https://youtu.be/msF7MSbxIxM

Then it was London Fashion Week – working with HITen media on the coverage for top designer Paria Farzaneh, with a cat walk live stream. https://youtu.be/SREuslINNXk

For the first few months of the year we had the pleasure of interviewing a range of top people for a 52-minute documentary show we are making about Sir Robin  Knox-Johnston, the founder of the Clipper Race, and the first man to sail non-stop solo, around the world back in 1969. Coming soon – interviews included Sir Ben Ainslie, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, the BBC’s John Simpson, sailors Dee Caffari and Alex Thomson and more. Link  to trailer here: https://youtu.be/1nXTjkZBRLs

And we produced a one hour show for BBC Radio 4 on Sir Robin’s achievement, for their ‘Archive Hour’ which was extremely well received. You need to go to the BBC iPlayer to hear it though – sorry!

In amongst this – one again we were back in Nottingham for the Table Tennis England, PG National Championships; 3 days of live coverage – sending the signal back to BBC Sport’s MCR with our 4G transmission system. 9 camera coverage around the centre court, live interviews, live scoring graphics – full on coverage where our expertise came to the fore once again. Great team – well done everyone. Here’s the men’s finals, clipped out from the live coverage: https://youtu.be/OkeX6rwxtuI

Another event at the fabulous Boisdale restaurant in canary Wharf, covering the Lawrence Dallaglio Foundation annual lunch, with a stellar line up of speakers from the rugby world.

We’ve also been shooting many events for the Clipper Race as this continues to ramp up towards the live start on September 1st this year.

The Clipper Race Skippers 19-20.

We covered corporate partner events, the new skipper announcements, boat reveals, and had the pleasure of covering Sir Robin on his famous Suhaili yacht out on the Solent – fabulous!  Skipper reveal here: https://youtu.be/8KH2YfrDKFI

And most recently, it was a major event in Australia as host broadcaster for the International Rafting Federation’s 2019 World Rafting Championships. Up in Queensland’s north east territory, the remote Tully River was the venue with over 50 teams arriving from around the world to take part. We’re producing a one hour TV show on this, soon to be released. What an event, awesome location, amazing rapids and a great contest.

A fun video for the last night party edited by Sean from IRF!
